The Ancestral Adverb

Introduction

The Ancestral adverb typically preceded the verb it modifies and was normally introduced (or marked) by a comparative particle.

In Ancestral, then, an adverb was a noun to which the head verb was compared. For example:

“She runs as fast as a deer i.e. she runs fast.”
